After starting her working life as an accounts junior, Julie worked her way up through the difficult male dominated Stainless Steel market. An informative period in advertising sales led to a directorship at Hyperformance Group and the business experience Julie needed to start a successful business.
Truly Madly Baby was born after Julie had her first baby, Samuel in January 2005.
After winning investment on series 2 of BBC 2's accliamed business show, Dragons' Den, and several TV appearances, including speaking as an expert on The Baby Channel, Julie was poised to take on the world of Direct Sales and baby products.
Julie won the 2007 Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year Award and the BT Essence of the Entrepreneur Award whilst the company, Truly Madly Baby, also won numerous business awards including the HSBC Start-Up Stars Awards 2006, UPS Local Business Award.
In June 2008 she faced her hardest challenge yet when the company went into administration......
